OEB establishes committee for education, training, and talent attraction

The Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) has established a Committee for Education, Training, and Attraction of Young Talent as part of its strategy to improve human resource skills and support the competitiveness of Cypriot businesses.

The committee includes representatives from key sectors of the economy and aims to develop modern policies and practices aligned with labour market needs and European skill developments.

The first meeting, chaired by Mr. Yiangos Hatzigiannis, outlined key actions including:

  • Promoting education and training as essential for business competitiveness
  • Enhancing the attractiveness of vocational education and training
  • Supporting lifelong learning and continuous upskilling
  • Strengthening links between businesses and educational institutions
  • Developing initiatives to attract and retain talent in Cyprus

OEB reaffirms its commitment to shaping policies that enhance the country’s human capital and contribute to a competitive and sustainable economy.
