Occupational safety and health inspection campaign in hotels, restaurants, and ready-to-eat food premises

The Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) announces that the Department of Labor Inspection (TEE), responsible for occupational safety and health, will carry out an inspection campaign in hotels, restaurants, and premises for the distribution of ready meals during the period from April to October 2026.

The campaign aims to raise awareness among stakeholders in these sectors to reduce workplace accidents, occupational diseases, and dangerous incidents.

The campaign will focus on main causes of occupational accidents and diseases, including the use of sharp objects, falls at the same level or from heights, contact with hot surfaces, shelf overturning or falling objects, contact with biological agents, chemical storage and use, manual cargo handling, and motorcycle handling.

It also aims to verify employer compliance with relevant occupational safety and health legislation, including the implementation of appropriate protection and prevention measures based on the Written Risk Assessment, a Risk Management System, and evidence-based safety training.

An attached checklist and explanations of key risks and preventive measures will be provided for reference.
