OEB education and skills committee meets with labor minister

The Education, Training and Talent Attraction Committee of OEB, chaired by Mr. Yiangos Hatzigiannis, held a meeting with the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance on June 2, 2026.

The meeting focused on labor market issues, skills development, and enhancing the competitiveness of Cyprus’ human resources. Participants exchanged views on challenges faced by businesses in recruiting and retaining suitable human resources, as well as prospects for increasing employment and productivity in the Cypriot economy.

The Committee and the Ministry confirmed their mutual intention to strengthen cooperation to promote policies and actions that address labor market challenges and support human resource development.

OEB continues to promote dialogue and cooperation with relevant bodies to develop modern policies that improve employment, skills, and competitiveness in Cyprus.
