The Industrial Production Index for March 2026 reached 116.7 units (base 2021=100), recording an increase of 4.7% compared to March 2025.
During January-March 2026, the index increased by 1.5% compared to the same period in the previous year.
In the manufacturing sector, an increase of 2.8% was observed compared to March 2025. Sectors of electricity supply (+19.0%), mines and quarries (+9.2%), and water supply and material recovery (+3.9%) also showed growth.
Significant positive changes in manufacturing activities compared to March 2025 include production of basic metals and metal products (+8.5%), rubber and plastic products (+7.1%), other non-metallic mineral products (+4.5%), and food, beverages, and tobacco products (+3.5%).
Negative changes were noted in manufacturing of machinery and equipment, motor vehicles, and other transport equipment (-4.8%), and furniture, other manufacturing activities, and machinery repair and installation (-3.9%).
For the period January-March 2026, the largest increases compared to the previous year were in water supply (+10.1%), electricity supply (+7.4%), and basic metals manufacturing (+6.4%).
Significant decreases in production during the same period include furniture manufacturing, machinery and transport equipment (-6.2%), machinery manufacturing (-5.4%), and textiles, clothing, and leather goods (-4.7%).
