Memorandum of understanding to promote humanitarian aid and development cooperation

On April 6, 2026, the Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB), the Pancyprian Union of Pharmaceutical Industries (PAEF), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The agreement aims to promote joint actions in humanitarian aid and development cooperation, establishing a framework for collaboration between the public and private sectors.

The cooperation will leverage the diplomatic role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the institutional representation of OEB, and the pharmaceutical expertise of PAEF.

Key objectives include providing pharmaceutical humanitarian aid to countries affected by natural disasters or crises, transferring know-how and best practices in pharmaceutical policy and public health, and strengthening the international profile of the Cypriot pharmaceutical industry.

This initiative supports the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, emphasizing health, innovation, and international partnerships. Implementation will focus on coordinated actions, resource utilization, and measurable interventions.

OEB, as the largest employers’ organization in Cyprus, will continue to promote partnerships that combine entrepreneurship with social responsibility, aiming for actions with international impact and added value for the Cypriot economy and society.
