The Federation of Employers and Industrialists (OEB) announces that the Department of Labour Inspection (TEE), responsible for occupational safety and health, has developed a new digital tool in collaboration with the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA).
The online interactive Risk Assessment tool (OiRA) is designed for private sector businesses to identify occupational risks associated with teleworking and implement necessary safety measures. The tool is available free of charge.
The creation of the tool was prompted by feedback from businesses and findings from the “Study on the Needs of Businesses on Occupational Safety & Health Issues,” conducted by OEB under the “Pillars of Development” project, part of the Cohesion Policy Program “THALIA 2021-2027” with EU co-financing.
OEB recommends the integration of the digital tool into the safety and health management systems of organizations. This supports the objectives of the Cyprus Strategy for Safety and Health at Work 2021-2027 and aligns with the EU Strategic Framework for Safety and Health at Work 2021-2027.
The collaboration between OEB, TEE, and EU-OSHA demonstrates the importance of social dialogue, consultation, and cooperation in developing initiatives to enhance occupational safety and health standards.
