OEB welcomes Cyprus Vaping Association as a new member

The Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) has announced the inclusion of the Cyprus Vaping Association as a new member of its Member Associations. This addition enhances representation of businesses in emerging and regulated sectors of the economy.

The Association represents companies involved in manufacturing, wholesale, retail trade, and export of vaping products, contributing to a dynamic sector of the Cypriot economy.

The Association has outlined goals including:

• Implementing legislation to prohibit the sale of vaping products to minors and prevent practices attracting minors.
• Promoting responsible business activity in the vaping market.
• Informing consumers and authorities on vaping-related issues.
• Utilizing scientific debate on vaping as a low-risk alternative for adult smokers.
• Consolidating professional ethics in compliance with national and European regulations.
• Strengthening dialogue with the State for evidence-based public health policies.

During its founding assembly on June 24, 2026, the following members were elected to the Board of Directors: Antonis Sotiriou, Christos Tamamounas, Stavros Charalambous, Christos Savva, Sofia Demetriou, Kostas Nikolaou, and Nikolas Papasolomontos. The Board will be formalized at its next meeting.

OEB welcomes the Cyprus Vaping Association and expects this cooperation to promote responsible entrepreneurship and a balanced framework that protects public health while supporting business activity.
