Urgent call for solutions to professional driver shortage

The Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) has issued an urgent appeal regarding the near interruption of the Pame Express passenger transport service.

OEB emphasizes the ongoing and worsening shortage of professional drivers in the passenger and goods transport sectors, which is significantly impacting public transport operations and supply chains.

Despite repeated efforts and specific suggestions over several years, the problem remains unresolved. OEB expresses its readiness to collaborate with the State and stakeholders to implement immediate solutions aimed at addressing the issue and ensuring the sustainability of the transport sector.
